INTO THE WILD BLOG #2 – SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2010

Been truckin around the UK and Wales and the shows have been incredible so far. So grateful to all of you who have come and spent your nights with us. Can’t wait to come back!

I took the train to Manchester on Saturday afternoon.

At night over 11,000 people showed up to make it our biggest show so far. My friend and amazing designer Lina Osterman made these jeans for me which are a LOT more comfortable than they look. :)

And for those of you who missed the show, this is what our set list looked like.

After the show I went in to check out the arena and see what a mess we made but we have an amazing crew and the evidence was gone in no time.

We played some old songs tonight in Cardiff from the very first record. I did Echelon acoustic from the balcony high above everyone on the floor. And then we all played Buddha for Mary from the B stage. It was like seeing long lost friends. Fun.

This Is War has really been one of the high points in the set. This is what it looked like from our soundboard tonight.

It was one of our hard workin gtr techs’ bday…we called him to the dressing room for an “emergency meeting” instead of a “sit down” he got a cake!

Searched high and low to no avail for bday candles but luckily at the last min we found one in our dressing room. Vanilla scented too.

One more day till Wembley!

P.S. We’re en route to London with our camera guy riding in the luggage bay for some reason…long story!

    Wow, Into the Wild Tour is amazing! Is so exciting see you on stage, you don't stop a second, how do you get to have so energy? I think that I need a little of that popcorns too. :) I liked of your clothes, your designer made a great work.     Gig in Wembley, London, was amazing, I still can not get over it, took two videos on i-pod, rolling it every morning, lifts my mood:)

    Im a 39 with a video degree i am in awe of Jareds concepts. 30 seconds to mars is coming to the brady theater in April i cant wait,i would love to sit down and talk to Jared about filming but i know thats not possible but that would be very moving to me. All i can say is that i am waiting in anticipation for ONCE for a band to play at the Brady Theater.

    You guys probably have a lot of stories to tell, don't you? Some that I bet you guys DON'T want the world to hear. Like you hearing about the femme-hawk thing. ;)

    I love seeing how human you guys really are, rather than the Gods that people make you out to be. Or, that if you are Gods, that we can all "come into the pantheon" and have that same status, if only we wanted it. For a while now, on twitter and such, you have just been the stereotypical re-tweet machines that people expect of celebrities that are too damn pleased with themselves. It's good to come here for a refreshing break and see that you exist as your own entity.

    I would love to hear more than you want the entire world to hear one day, but that's not my privilege, it's your right. I'm sure you can find me on twitter or my email though.

    It very difficult to show your interest and respect to a famous person and not to look like maniac=) I hope you understand what I’m talking about)
    Though there are so many people from all the world that talk to you and appeal to you and ask, and love and etc. that my shy and modest thoughts can be totally lost among all this thousand words. And actually I’ll talk to myself-)

    Wembley was supposed to be the first time I ever saw you guys live, but I couldn't make it! thank-god for the amazing O2 show though in November! :)
